💙 Grandparents’ Day is Friday at PCR-I Elementary! 💙

Grandparents’ Day is Friday, September 4, 2026, with an Open House from 1:45–2:30 p.m. The event will include photo booths, refreshments, and special memories.
We are so excited to welcome our grandparents and special friends to Putnam County R-I Elementary tomorrow, Friday, September 4, 2026, for an afternoon with some of their favorite little people! 🥰
Our Grandparents’ Day Open House will be from 1:45–2:30 pm. We’ll have photo booths for capturing special memories, refreshments to enjoy, and plenty of opportunities to visit with your student(s).
To help make the afternoon safe, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone, here are a few things to know before you arrive:

  • đź•ś Arrival: Please plan to arrive no earlier than 1:30 pm. Doors will open at 1:45 pm. With the extreme heat, we don’t want anyone waiting outside longer than necessary.
  • đźš— Parking: Guests may use the parking spaces facing west in the Elementary parking lot. Please do not park along the sidewalk in front of the Superintendent’s Office or the Elementary main entrance. This area must remain clear for emergency vehicle access and will be marked with cones.
  • 🚌 Need a little help getting to the door? Shuttles will run from the High School parking lot to the Elementary entrance for guests who need assistance.
  • 📸 Make a memory: Be sure to stop by our photo booths with your student(s), and enjoy refreshments while you’re here!
  • đź’™ Student dismissal: Students who have a completed permission slip may be signed out with their grandparent or special guest beginning at 2:15 pm. Students will remain with their classes while guests visit rather than traveling from classroom to classroom. When you have finished visiting, your student may be signed out to leave with you.
  • đź•ť Open House concludes at 2:30 pm.
We know Grandparents’ Day is a special tradition for our students and their families, and we’re looking forward to filling our school with some very special guests tomorrow. Thank you for helping us follow these arrival, parking, and dismissal procedures so the afternoon can run smoothly and safely for everyone.
